SaaS Niche Finder is an App Store research catalog for developers and small teams researching their next SaaS idea.
It publishes a reproducible snapshot of recent App Store launches, AI-assisted analyses of selected product descriptions, and teardowns of SaaS hypotheses. The listings are research sources; they do not establish demand for a SaaS product. Each page states its scope, source facts and limits.
What it is
- A catalog. 307,938 US listings first released in a 12-month window, searchable by date, category, price, rating count and inferred function.
- An analysis of that catalog. Niche reviews and direction teardowns based on selected full descriptions, with AI assistance disclosed and developer promises separated from tested capabilities.
- A method you can copy. Filters, thresholds and limits published alongside every claim, so the same analysis can be run on a niche we have not touched.
What it is not
- Not an idea generator. A direction on this site is a hypothesis with a test, not a recommendation to build.
- Not an analytics product. No download estimates, no revenue projections, no ASO keyword volumes.
- No paid placement. Product inclusion and research conclusions cannot be purchased. Optional paid workflow tools may be offered separately; payments are not currently enabled.
- Not affiliated with Apple. All app data belongs to its developers; the catalog is an independent index of public information.
Public research and optional tools
Published research, supporting evidence, comparisons, methods and official sample reports can be read without registration or payment. The catalog offers the first page of each search without an account; sign in for free to continue browsing and save apps, private notes and searches.
Official Google keyword sample reports were prepared by the site and are public. Free accounts do not generate new reports. Pro will add private keyword research, a monthly report allowance, saved report history and CSV exports; purchasing is not open. Compare Free and the planned Pro plan · Keyword data and privacy.
Personal research will not replace the official samples or remove evidence needed to check a published claim. Plan prices and final terms will be confirmed before checkout opens. Monitoring is not offered.
Why it exists
This project starts with existing products and the jobs their store listings promise to address. The catalog and source analyses help builders compare those promises while researching a focused SaaS direction. Search-demand evidence, existing SaaS competitors and customer conversations answer different parts of the decision; none can be replaced by the count of apps in a snapshot.
Who runs it
This is an independent project maintained by the site owner. Current research uses AI-assisted source analysis and drafting; no named human reviewer’s sign-off is recorded. There is no sponsored placement. The methodology explains what the research process does and does not establish.
The project began as a personal tool for comparing App Store launches while researching SaaS ideas. Its method is to define a reproducible pool, examine selected descriptions and state what would disprove a proposed direction.
